Default $1,000

If you had $1,000 to do performance enhancements to a stock 06 Street Glide, what enhancements would you do? Please be specific, if pipes, which ones, etc.

Thanks much,

Scott

Rush slip ons with 2.25' baffles ($250), SERT ($370), SEAC ($120), Dyno it ($300). Went a little over, but you can probably get some of the items a little cheaper.

Peace,

Peace,
Very good start! I did this basic upgrade only using different parts. SE/AC, Vance & Hines Duels,Wild Pig slip-ons, PCIII.
The change in the bike is amazing.

Do a little shopping and find what you like as far as exhaust sound and go from there.

Ride Safe,

Mike

My advice would be to first think out the entire build and figure the thousand to be the first step. That way you can buy parts that will be compatable with future mods.

My plan would be comfortable seat [or seat mod], S.E.Race Tuner, hi flow air filter, Super Trapp 2 into 1 exhaust and 3:37 gearing. If you shop right you might get a good start on it.

........or True-Track, (Accu-Track or RideStr8) Works Performance Tracker shocks, (or Progressive 440s) and a pair of RaceTech Gold Valve emulators and fork springs.

Good Luck, trying to find out what works.......everyone knows that a $1,000 is not enough. I do agree with the Rush slipons. Also, I would buy from Chicago Harley online, they offer 20% off. That would be my first place to look

slip on pipes, highway pegs, windhields( 6",8" etc.) detach backrest if you are going to double.
I bought an 06 in Nov. and have spend $3000.00 in accessories. The best one has been handlebars for $75.00installed by me. Pipes are nice for thesound but if you want powerbuy a metric or spend alot of money on the harley. The last bike which i still have is a 2003 honda manga cruiser 750 v4. I have a stage one in my new harley and the honda will kick its butt. Acutally the Honda does everything better.(power,brakes,handle). But for some reason I am selling it and keeping the 06 sg. The SG looks so good and sounds good. But pack a lunch when you want to pass a couple of cars.
