That is what concerned me about the saddlebag lids. Have also heard mixed reviews on the sound. Will definitely be putting speakers in the lowers. Have the boom amp and speakers on bike now. Happy with the sound but want a little more.

Not a SG but put vented lowers on my standard with cvo speaker pods and JL C2 6.5" components along with Polk mm651s in the fairing, JL 4 channel amp and Kenwood head unit. ROCKS!

Went with Hogtunes. Like the way the speaker grilles are finished. Don't even notice the speakers once installed. Plus side is saving on shipping and duty charges in Canada.
