Default Tourpak docking hardware question

Does anyone know if the removable docking kit for the passenger backrest and the docking kit for the removable Tourpak can co-exist on a 2006 SG? I don't think the Tourpak can mount to the same docking points as the passenger backrest. Thanks.

Yes,If you have the dockage kit for the removable backrest already on,the dockage kit for the tour pack is a bunny to install.

Hell, I have both and to me they were both a PITA to install. Harley's instructions need a bit of work but the 2 docking kits co-exist fine.

Amen to that! I almost started throwing things at one point, and I'm embarassed to say how long it took me to install just the docking kit for the solo Tour Pak. As you said, the instructions suck big time.

When you remove the Tour Pak (using the quick release) ... how much of the hardware is left on the bike... does some of the bracket stay? (thanks!)

The tourpack and rack come off together. The part that remains is going to be the triangular shaped chrome piece with the black docking points and another set of docking points that you can't easily see a bit farther forward. I hope that answered your question. Removing the tourpack is going to take less than a minute(way less if you're speedy) and about the same amount of time to put it on.

This is the docking hardware for the tourpak.
