Hi btefft:
Your rig looks great, I was at a friends garage last week. He showed me his latest, he found a almost new HD sidecar, near Wash DC for $3500. Brought it home, blew it apart and had it painted cobalt to match his Ultra. I loved it, of course I loved the other 4 HD's that he had:
03' flt custom, 49' barn find 99% original, 57' ex-police bike period piece, 67' sporty restoration
I was green with envy.

Making a right turn is fun because, once you get used to it, you can lift the side car as you aggressively go into a right hand turn. First time it happened, it scared the crap out of me, but now I sometimes lift it just for the heck of it.
I have ridden a few different side car rigs & that is 1/2 the fun of it.
When people ask how it's possible to lift the inside wheel in a turn like that, I tell them to picture what happens if you turn too sharp on a little kids tricycle, same principle.

Then, some years later his grandmother sold the business she owned & split up the procedes between his Mom & all the grand kids. This clowns share was something like 5 million dollars.
We had a reunion of sorts with some of my old H.S. buddies a few weeks ago. My old buddy is now retired & owns 29 Harleys, everything from a new Ultra to a fully restored 1948 Panhead to a Pro-Street hot rod..............

btefft, are you near Ft. Benning, Ga? I have seen you on the road, I just know it. If that was you, one of my best friends is a new tech at BigSwamp over in Opelika. His name is Sean. You should ask your son if they know each other. Hope to see you on the road. Iwill be back home from Iraq in a couple ofweeks.

dgator, Yep, in fact, my wife works in Bldg 6 on Benning. I bought my RK Classic from Katrina at Big Swamp. Maybe we'll bump into each other in the future. I'll ask my son about Sean. H-D in Columbus got nailed by that tornado last Thursday night. Since Hooch was closed (no power), he and some other mechanics went to Big Swamp to help out. He probably met Sean then.
Be careful in Iraq.

Dad in HHC and both in A co.In a funny coincidence, I support the 2/505 over here now. I have the feeling when I get back, we will run into each other. Just look for theround guy on a blue StreetGlide with a big smile on his face. I get home April 1st.
