Default Dropped new RGC, update!

Well, it turns out the bike didn't come out unscathed as I had originally thought. I had thought that the only damage was to the bottom of the Linby crashbars. I decided to go back to the dealer today to have them remove the sticker on the bottom of the rear foot pegs, lube the clutch lever slightly (squeaking every time I disengaged it) and to also rotate the handle bar controls slightly towards me. My hands had to reach for the levers. They were quick to take care of these three things. Then the service tech said that my handlebars were slightly bent. I asked them how this was possible, since the handlebars never touched the ground. Turns out the right side of the handle bent when I was attempting to hold the bike up from falling on its right side.

He said the bars are hallow and that he has seen it before. So much for feeling good about being able to slowly put down the bike. The dealership said it was very slight and they could not tell me (or would rather not tell me) to have it replaced. I personally could not see the bend and neither could the owner. I was very happy with how they adjusted the controls and told them I would ride for a few days and decide if it was an issue.

I rode home (only 5 miles) single exit on highway and a few right and left turns and the bike felt fine to me. If they had not told me I would have never known. The dealer said that if I found it to be an issue, he would order me any handlebars at their cost. I'm going ot give it a few more rides, but the bike feels good so far. I am tempted to put on some Carlini bagger bars though. I just don't want to spend the $$ now.

What would your take be on this?

Thanks

Ride with the slight bend until you have the cash to get what you want. No sense wasting $ for replacement factory bars especially if you can't see or feel a difference...

If you can't feel or see anything different just let it go

Ride it for now, if there are no issues then get the bars you really want!

I cant imagine holding the bike up by the bars would bend the bars. If you nor the owner can see it maybe the mechanic was not seeing straight. Maybe he was hung over or something.

I think I may do some measuring later and see if the right side is any different from the left. That will tell me for sure.

Do the same thing on the other side to even it out.

Just kidding of coarse.

If the bend is not easily seen, and no kinks, I'd ride it until I had the coin saved for the new bars.

Why not just bend them back where they belong??
