Those must be some cheap azz bars to bend in that way!
Great time to upgrade, you know you want to..

OK, I went out with a tape measure. Every measurement was the same. The bars measured out to 33" from very end of the grips. I have Harley's Slipstream grips. The only difference I could tell is that one gipr is rotated a little more than the other. This is cosmetic. I can tell because the center of the grips have a HD logo and one is slightly higher than the other. This is just cosmetic. I have no idea if this is normal because I never looked at it before and my previous grips were black tribal on my V rod. Is this normal?

Thanks

PS I will take pics later in the morning.

If they are bent, they are weakened and any future incident will be worse at a worse place and time.

If they are bent it has to be less than a 1/4" somewhere. I can't see it or notice it when riding. I'm going back to dealer in a few days and ask them to show me. Neither the Sales Mgr or owner could see it either.

Invisible bend = ride it. I've run many former bikes with bends and all were fine...most were dirt bikes, but if this "slight" bend isn't noticeable, or affecting the ride then there's no need to worry. Riders do easy tips all the time and don't change bars. Save your ca$h & start looking for a better set to add later down the road...JMO.

Are the mirrors on the handlebars?

If so, did you have to adjust them after the incident?

Personally I would throw the bike over to the ground on the other side right now.

Kidding!!!!! I'd leave it alone.

It sounds to me like someone wants to sell you new bars and make money off the install. Just ride it. Bars bending from you holding the bike sounds absolutely ridiculous. I think were taking bets as to what they could get you to believe. Someone that is part of the equation works on commission.
