Since I got back into motorcycles about 12 years ago, I seem to buy one every two to three years, spend thousands to modify it and then I get bored with it and move on to something different. Went from a new 883 to a Suzuki M50, then a new Low Rider, then to a Yamaha Royal Star Tour a Deluxe, then to a Yamaha Road Star then to the Electra Glide and now the Wing. They a very different machine. Fast, smooth and quite. Feels like it needs a 6th gear though. The group I ride with is mostly Wings and Sport Touring. Good bunch of folks. Now I'll spend thousands modifying this one and in about two years, who knows...

 

My brother in Oregon has an 07 RK Police and an 07 Wing. In Oregon, I ride the RK IF I have a choice and the Wing if not. The Wing is comfortable, powerful, corners well with good braking but too much plastic for me and I don't like being stuck with the footpeg position. I think I know how a woman feels at the Gynocologist from using the Highway pegs. I don't see myself ever owning one. Lucky for me, he took his girlfriend along 2-up and let me have the RK on our 8 day trip last summer.

Hey, all I'm back! Sold the Goldwing after about 6-months! It was like driving a Toyota with the windows down. Took a couple years off and now I'm back with a 13 Ultra Limited! Feels nice to be back home.

first off you are forgiven for resurrecting an old thread that I thought was going to talk about car tires. More details please. Was that a Toyota Prius with the windows down?
seriously, describe what features were not as appealing as the 13 Ultra or the 2001 you traded. Maybe a new thread even.
