Stator and inner primary
Do you have to install stator before inner primary. Helping out with a rebuild. THX

Yes. You will have a hard time getting the wire through the engine housing.

Is it different than a '94 Softail. Did my stator without pulling the inner primary. Pics are in my albums.

you can actually do it either way, before or after the inner primary. Would probably be easier without the inner primary in your way.
if you're helping someone with a build it might be wise to grab a service manual for that particular bike.
