I want a new Ultra Classic. I sold my Ultra 2008 last month, withdrawls are terrible. I went to the stealer on Sunday and saw the new 2014 model.
I liked what I saw. Now that is all I can think about.

what I should I do?
Wait until the shake down period is done or be a part of the shake down on the new model.
There is always something that goes wrong with the first year model.

 

I believe the Ultra has been relatively problem free except for the Clutch recall. It's the Limited that has had some problems with the puking. Not sure if the infotainment system is having the same problems on the Ultra as the Limited.

 

Go buy it you *****, just kiddin, but seriously, I wouldn't let a few horror stories sway my decision.

 

I traded my 2012 Ultra on my 2014 Limited. I liked the chrome wheels on limited and two tone Charcoal over Black. Both nice bikes. I almost bought the Candy orange Ultra with big screen radio and nav. But like my new bike. No wrong answer buy what moves YOU not somebody else

I guess I will go get the new 2014 Ultra and get it over with. I am only prolonging the inevitable!

 

Think about how many people own a 2014 on here. The problems are few and far between, and that's what a warranty is for.

Money in your pocket can't make you happy!

 

I have a feeling that they are updating as they build, I was assured that all the fixes will be done to my Ultra before it gets here.

If you want it do it, there has been enough shake down time, and you are already itching cause, like me now you have no ride.

Another good thing is you can order it the way you want it, I added the 6.5 and security package, also thought about the custom paint options.

 

Good choice. I waited all summer to see if there were any changes to the 14's and that just about killed me. Once they came out, I went in.
Your lucky to be in Ca. You can enjoy it right away.
