Ditto on the ******* comments. I have an 06 and wouldn't trade "up" for anything. The older bikes are much more reliable and simple to repair when necessary. They resemble a much simpler era of scooters. Trust me, for all the alleged "good updates" in the newer bikes, they trade off reliability. Sure, a big nav screen might be cool, but what are you gonna do when it fails? Nav radios are EXPENSIVE! Congrats on getting a great scooter at a sweet price!

Well I bet I am a low life scum bag because I ride a 1997. And you know what it is comfy on long hauls and reliable. It has everything that the newer bikes have. And unlike a lot of folks I ride mine all year around. Except on day like today here in pa where the wind chill is 9. And only because the wind make the ride suck *** blowing the bike all over the damn place. And also my carb wont let me stranded somewhere along the road like I have seen from some injected rides. All this talk about handling and **** your not riding a sport bike it is a touring bike. And the navigation systems are useless if your on your bike your on it for the ride I don't care if I get lost

Congrats on your new ride, I can see your smiles through your words. I had an '08 SG and enjoyed it as much as any Harley I have owned. Since I have passed the stage of riding with my *** on fire it had plenty of power. You have a great bike and got it at a great price, so layer-up and go riding. As others have stated - How About Some Pics.!!

Congrats on the bike and the deal!
As Joe said, an MSF course really helps with a new touring bike. I bought my first Harley last year and the experienced rider class really taught me a thing or two since this bike is so much heavier than anything I had ridden before. Not assuming you don't have skills, but better to push the limits of a heavy bike in a parking lot with cones than on the street.
Waiting for the pics! Enjoy!

Wow! What a dumb statement. Prehistoric! Do you over exaggerate everything in life? Wonder what 6 in inches looks like in your world.
