bah. obviously never owned a denim bike. if by inferior you mean only having to spend about 20 mins cleaning vs hours, i guess you're right.
i loved my denim black paint. it is so much easier to clean, and to keep it that way. no worries about swirls. i never got any scratches that i had to worry about. as it ages, it just develops a nice patina to it, whereas a vivid black paint job just looks 'old'.....

Guess you missed this post between the two of you:
I've had both one denim and many gloss finish bikes and I will never buy another denim or flat paint bike again. You CAN NOT buff scrathes out of flat black paint. And the flat paint shows every finger print much more so than a gloss paint job. Dont get me wrong I love the way flat black themed bikes look but I would never buy another one due to my experience with one and the extra work it is to keep clean and the fact that you can buff out fine scratched or marks.

Here's a couple of pictures I took earlier today for an ebay ad for my chrome crash bar. My black bar and black license plate holder should be here early next week and will take some decent pics then. Changed the turn signal lenses to smoke today and couldn't believe how much better the entire bike looked. Not sure yet of axle covers. Might throw in a little dab of chrome or might stick with the black. Last mods in this phase will be grips, black levers and black highway pegs.
