Default I love my 2014 SGS! But......

I have had my SGS just under 3 weeks and have been able to put almost 600 miles on her. Not bad considering I am in NH and the weather has been less than cooperative. My goal is to get 1,000 miles on her before snow and salt flies. So far I am amazed at how well it handles and I love having tunes. I drove her from the dealer with a chrome front end and over the Winter I will be adding all the other goodies I have ordered. I will post the mods as I move forward. Now what did I mean about the "But"....????

Well I was at dealers today to pick-up some of those "goodies" and there she was...my 05 traded in Road king Custom. She looked so good and all those memories of miles heading South for softshell crabs on a whim and rides West to Sturgis and every year in Laconia came flooding back. I Never thought I would sell her "BUT" for that damn demo ride on the new 2014! Now I just want to get through the winter and then will be looking forward to many more miles on my SGS..... who knows maybe I will have a whim for a Texas steak or CA veggie burger or not......

i swore when i got my sportster that i would never sell it and ride it forever. then i sold it and got a road king. "this is it, this one is a keepe"r. then i sold it for a road glide. "damn, this bike is awesome, gotta be the last one i buy". then i traded it in for a road glide cvo. gonna ride this one till the wheels fall off. or till i sell it and get a new one ......

Congrats on the new bike. Once you are able to ride full time, you will forget about the old one.

I can understand why. Nice looking Road King. Still don't think I can ever part with my 07 Road King.
