Thinking bout a Road Glide

ride & decide
but don't pre-judge
all those RG owners seem to have found a good fit - although some have struggled while others have not

BTW I am 6'2" 32" inseam and 280 lbs. Stock bars, have added a Windvest 16" shield for the little turbulence that affected my head when wearing a helmet.

When set-up right with fairing lowers and the right windshield the ride on a Road Glide is a dream. Can't be beat for wind control and handling. Had my RG Ultra up to 115 out on the super slab and the ride was silky smooth with no buffeting. Just some slight smooth air flow.
As far as new vs used if the price is close go new. But also feel free to shop around. I'm sure other dealers have leftovers and would be willing to deal. These are not collectors items. They are a leftover bike holding up a spot on their floorplan that could be occupied by a 2014.

i have no regrets about trading my SG for a RG. as far as the new/used issue. i def vote new. because of warrenty and no chance of previous owner abuse or lack of maintence. also IF financing the insterest is usually better. most of the time a used one cost damn near the same price and i never understand that.

Well, I made the mistake and rode one today. All I can say is WOW! Super smooth ride and what SEEMED like more room. I feel like if it weren't for my long arms I would be able to hardly reach the radio to turn it on (it was off when I got on the bike.) the stock windshield sucks, I couldn't hear he radio at all while cruising above 55mph. The handling on the bike was amazing though. I am gonna take my bikes up there Saturday and see what they can do for my on a trade in.
