If you keep a bike for 10 years, then probably not. If you trade or sell it with in a couple of years, then maybe remove the aftermarket and replace with the stockers. Especially if the aftermarket parts fit the new bike.

HA, I meant to type "I live in CA..."

My "love" for CA has all but vanished over the last 15 years or so....

The wife & I will be leaving within a few years. Faster if I can pull it off...!

Not worth much in terms of $$. But there are riders out there that have damaged part of their exhaust system in one way or another or are rebuilding a bike that some parts could come in handy for. List in classifieds and someone can re-purpose them down the road.

I done a full Rinehart exhaust when I done mine and saved all the stock take offs, made a couple mounting brackets and mounted the pipes with the passenger muffler on the wall of my man cave for a pretty cool wall decoration.

I kept my stock pipes on my SGS for a few years until I couldn't stand the heat anymore. Stage II and replaced the head pipe that has the CAT.

This thread reminded me to go out to my shed and get rid of the pipes Ive had from bikes I sold years ago. We have a local guy who cruises around looking for scrap metal, I just made his day.

I still have the stock mufflers from my 1989 Heritage in the attic, at least, that's what it says on the box... I didn't bother to open it up and confirm if it's labelled correctly...

I was thinking of taking all the old parts and hanging on wall or ceiling of garage. Along with all the parts I have kept just in case someone needs a part to get home on a weekend. But who is going to do all that work, to put old parts on?

I have canalbized parts from bike that went to 2-1 for bike that was not.

I have a stock front pipe from a '03 Ultra classic, right next to my computer. I'm looking for a set of Road King stock mufflers locally. I don't want to pay shipping on mufflers, as those suckers are heavy. I have a set of no name true dual pipes on the bike as I type this. They are just a bit loud for me. The work good, but on long rides get annoying. I had a set of SE mufflers that rotted out on me, but stock pipes seem to last forever. I like to change thing out every now and then, it's like having a different bike when you do.,,
