Default Fairing Overhang

The 2014 Harley fairings have a large hooded area (overhang) over the Headlight similar to my Reckless Fairing, on my 2013 RKC, so now I've decided I like that look where before I was not liking it so much,,,lol

Always wanted to know what my bike would look like with lowers and a fairing...Kinda' like the idea of dry feet in the Florida rain. Nicely done.

Wife wanted more storage. Got an eBay trunk for $58. Works ok consider how little money I spent, but you get what you pay for. Testing it out to see if it's something we'll use a lot, then thinking I might try to color match and fit a new '14 Tour Pak.

Also in the category of "more storage," I drilled a 3/8" hole in the bottom of the clutch side saddle bag and put a rubber stopper in it. Once the ice melts, just pull the stopper and it drains itself when on the jiffy stand.

Now that is a GREAT idea. And it's ironic, the bike has "beer bottle brown" color, and you've added a beer bottle....

I like what you have done with the bike. But for me and for the time being, I am resisting a batwing fairing and stereo.... But I really like the bag speakers and the lower speakers. Darn it! I need to stay away from this thread.

This is what it looks like with just the lowers, lids and a street glide seat:

Now you just are not being nice! LOL.

Can you hear the radio with the just the lower speakers and the bag speakers (with the w/s obviously on)?

I wear a half helmet most of the time. With the fairing on and all 8 speakers going, you literally can't hear the Rineharts. With the windshield on (only lowers and lids playing), it is still more than adequate at any speed. Now, with no windshield the half helmet gets very noisy starting around 50mph. At 55mph the wind starts drowning out the speakers. At 65mph it is pretty much just all wind noise. I did recently ride a very short distance (just a couple miles) with no helmet and noticed a significant reduction in wind noise and buffet, so I suspect that if you ride without a helmet it would probably be sufficient at highway speed.

It is the Chinese eBay fairing. It is just called "4 Speaker Road King Fairing" on eBay.
