Default Hiway peg w/ Fairing Lowers

OK...this might seem like a nubee question, but for the life of me I cannot get my highway peg situated to my liking with the fairing lowers installed. It seems if i get the pegs located on the engine guard in a position that wont scratch the lowers, i have to really stretch to get my feet on the pegs. I am 5ft 10in so i dont think its a height issue, but more of knowing exactly where to mount the pegs.
Any pics of how you have yours mounted would be great as well.

I am 5' 10" and had the same problem. I installed the long angle mounts #50829-07. You can mount them at any angle.Got on the bike and had my wifemove them until they were perfect. They are great.

I don't have a pic but I mounted mine towards the bottom of the crash bar near where that curved cut in section is. I like to stretch m legs straight and downward. I also like to ride with my heel on the floorboard and my toes on the highway peg. This peg position allows that for me. I'm over 6'4' but I don't think the height matters with my peg set-up.

My highway pegs also have a short extension piece on them that keeps them away from the lower fairing when they are closed.

Hope that helps.

Mine are mounted on the guard about half way up. I have the angle mounts installed which make the pegs a few inches closer to the rider. Works great for me. I am about 5"9".

$100 + footpegs. Do they retract out of the way when not in use?

I have the 50830-07 mounts (short). I see sugarbear used the 50829-07 (long). I have the bolt toward the front of the bike, and the arm rotated toward the back. I'm 5-11, and it's just right for me. Sorry, no pic. I can't load in photobucket.
