I've used Joe for mine as well as chroming my front end.
He's good to deal with.
Very fair and honest.

Does polishing provide better stopping power than chrome? I heard that you lose a lot of stopping power when you have chromed rotors?

Polished ones are available from Harley, around 180.00 I believe they are very nicely done.

Agreed. Joe Cutshall at ***** Shiny is a great guy and his work is top notch. I have his chrome wheels and polished rotors on my Road King and they were and still are flawless.

Polishing reduces stopping power. I have never heard of any stainless steel brake rotors being chromed. PM used flash chrome their cast iron rotors but the average HD rider didn't buy those rotors so PM stopped making them. That was too bad because they worked awesome(better than any rotors except composite) and were only $100 bucks

I had chrome rotors on my Fatboy.......they polish but not chrome the area at the outside edge where the brake pads touch.

I've looked at Shinny before but they don't list 2013 Street Glides, I'll have to call him. I'd like to do my wheels and front lowers this winter.

Because the carrier that they chromed wasn't stainless steel like the rotor they polished. Then the rotor was bolted or pinned onto the carrier.
