Thats why I got Vivid Black! Bugs round are are too scared to get anywhere near it. LOL I spray Plexus on each one them and let it sit a couple of minutes and they come right off, but then again I clean it every time I ride or once a day to keep down the build up.

Years ago I dated a gal who worked at Freightliner. When trucks were transported cross country for delivery, they were basically "bug catchers". The detailers used Windex to get the bugs off. I've used it many times since. Spray it on, let it soak for a couple of minutes, wipe it off with my regular bike wash solution, and rinse. Never had to do it more than twice.

Gunk brand "bug and tar remover" from Wal-Mart, let it soak for a few minutes then rinse while rubbing with a fabric softener dryer sheet.
If you waited too long, then your clearcoat is "etched".

The only thing that I have used for the last 15 years or so on 3 different bikes on the windshield, fairing and lowers is Lemon Pledge! It has nerver scratched anything and has always gotten the bugs right off. When we travel I always have a can with me to remove the bugs and to give the whole bike a cleaning. This was first brought to my attention by a custom painter that used it on everything he painted.
