Default Anybody lose their lighter from their batwing?

Pissed me off. It rattled and fell out while I was riding. I saw it fall out and went back to get it and a car ran it over.
Bought a new one for $15 and it doesn't seem tight so I'm not putting it back in. I don't smoke so I don't really need it anyway.
I wanted to plug the hole in dash so a friend suggested a wine bottle cork. I thought that was a good idea so I did it but that also fell out.
Anybody got a solution to fix this?
THANKS!

Harley sells a little plastic cap that snaps on, sorry don't have a part number but I found it a while ago using the search option. I lost my lighter when the bike was a couple weeks old.

I'm not a smoker, so I removed my lighter and replaced it with a black plastic cap. It looks better this way and the socket is sealed from moisture. I picked up a 3-pack of the caps at Auto Zone for $2. I can only imagine what Harley wants for 'em.

A trick I learned is to periodically spray some WD40 on a finger and then wipe the inside of the socket. This helps prevent rust.

Yes! I was pissed. Does anyone have the part number for the plug?

Check out the little rechargable flashlight harley sells to replace the lighter. Looks handy if you need to check something on the bike in the dark

I went this route after my lighter went bouncing down the road. If the lighter can do that, I'm sure not going to take a chance with a rechargeable flashlight.
