Default Auxiliary **** position

Does anyone know why from 09 on the lights stay on when switched to auxiliary. Makes it hard to listen to tunes at the motels at nigh.

Not sure if it has to do with the harness to keep spots on with high beam.

OP....have there been mods done to your wiring? Pretty much the same on any newer bike I've seen.

If you or original owner installed a run/turn/brake auxiliary unit the rear lights stay on with accessory, but not the spots or headlight.

The harness to make spot run with high beams will cause the spots to stay on when on acc. It is actually getting power from the acc side. You have to turn the spot switch off.
