Default Boots

I have two pairs of boots. Westco's which were a gift from my wife.Best boots I've ever owned. Custom made and waterproof. I use them on long trips like to Alaska and back. Around town I have a pair of Chippewa boots which are also a great pair of boots. Easy on with velcro pulls, very comfortable and waterproof also. If you buy the Westco's be ready for the price. But you'll own them forever. Best of luck with your new boots..

That is the boot I"m using, lightweight waterproof, has a rubber gasket next to the zipper which really helps.
Their not clunky like so many of the other riding boots.
I can't say enough about how good these boots, are, I purchased another spare pair just in case they discontinue this model.

Default RedWing boots

Been riding for decades and RedWing has been making boots for much longer. Last year sent in my 10 year old pair in for new soles and a reconditioning. Came back like new and all for just $79. I did this through the local Redwing store and shipping was free.

I use Bates.

Tech 8 I believe is the style.

Only boot i have found that feels good walking all day, as well as riding.

Keep us entertained for a few moments dude! You'll get another pair of boots, but we may not get another opportunity to be entertained for a few. A wild and drunken night in a cantina? Woke up in the gutter shoeless? Kmon! Give it up!!

What he said. Pricey but no other boot comes close. Add a c note and get them custom made to your feet.

Last pair you will ever buy.

i bought a pair of these two years ago, they are the best i have ever had... you can walk all day in them ( they are extremely comfortable ) i use them for both on and off road, the soles are non skid, and replaceable.

my jeans pull down over the top easily, they are warm in cold weather and comfortable in very hot weather. My feet have never gotten wet in heavy rain, except from water wicking down from jeans...

Have the Mexicans make you a pair..
Surely they can.
They do some great leather work.

Since you mentioned riding in gravel and looking for protection and support, may I suggest the Gaerne Balance Oiled. With the right socks, they're comfortable from the low 20s up to about 115 degrees. They're absolutely waterproof. They're tough and durable. They offer good protection and support. And they're ridiculously comfortable.

I ordered them from the above link on a Monday. Boots showed up at my house Wednesday evening. Thursday morning I took off on an 11 day ride from Md to Colorado and back. I lived in these brand-new boots for 15-20 hours a day for 11 days and couldn't have been more comfortable. I commute to work in them and don't need to bring a change of shoes.

Can't say enough good things about them.
