Looking for people with experience in this area. I have a 2010 RKC and want to put a 21" spoke wheel on the front. What tire size? Can you do a more stock looking width with a 18"? The fender just looks like it sits up so high from factory with the 16" stocker. Heck I bet you could tape a hockey puck to the tire and pass it through now. Looking for real world advice from people who really know. Thanks
Most of the time all that is needed to clearance a 21" wheel and a stock fender is elongate the rear mounting holes on the fender. HogPro suggests taping a 1/4" nut to the center of your tire and spin it to make sure the nut doesn't touch any part of the fender.
Those 21" wheels sure look good. Not to hijack the thread, but to they have any effect on the handling? (More steering effort, less braking power?) Are you using stock rear tire/suspension? Thanks for your help.

No issues at all on handling. I use stock suspension. Some ppl say to lower the front end to compensate for the larger wheel height. Don't need to do any of that though and it will still handle fine at all speeds and on all types of turns.

There is a very small change in handling. BUT I think it's more the Vee Rubber tire that I put on than the wheel.
After riding for a few weeks with just the front wheel changed, I decided to lower the front and rear. I'm short with short legs and even lowered I just get my toes down (I've only been flatfooted on one bike I've owned)
