If they want it on the sales bill so be it. Just subtract it from the MSRP.

People continue to justify the thievery of these Harley Dealerships. Thats why nothing changes...Harley still keeps going on the Made in America crap. Most of the bolts and parts on Harley's these days are made in China and all of their clothes as well. Believe me they are making money. Buy the parts in China and make 700,000 times of what it costs to have made by some underpaid 12 year old kid. When someone grabs for a wrench and they need a metric it should **** them off, not want to justify Harley's bullsh*t.

I believe I would tell them no thank you and then go to a different dealer.

When I bought my 2011 Road Glide they tried to charge me $920 set up that's exactly what I did was went elsewhere

Well the set up fee as far as i know goes to the dealer not harley and yes it does cost money to keep the lights on, insurance paid so tire kickers can come test drive bike, employees salaries, workmans comp, insurance etc.I agree the bikes should be sold at MSRP but dealer fees have always been around no matter what you are buying.

And i only grab metric wrenchs for my Hondas. My Harley is standard.

In Dallas if you want a 2014 you pay freight and setup, together they are almost $1600! I called all three dealers near me and all wanted MSRP plus freight and prep. I was going to have to go to Oklahoma City to get the bike under MSRP but decided it wasn't worth my time and paid what they asked. they did come up $1000 on my trade when I started to walk out..lol
