Yota, I think what is happening here is that all are carrying a conversation. You know, someone is talking and then the subject gets changed. Heck, I even asked a question in a post that never got answered. Guess I was talking to myself. Of course I do do that alot for real. No need to get upset. Just like the time I was trying to set up a photo gallery. To my surprisse I already had one.Duh!!! Just read and laugh. I do that alot too. Even at myself.

Yota, you do not need to readjust the cruise control when reinstalling the grips. It is necessary to leave a small amount of free play in your throttle. If memory serves, that free play is taken into account in your tech manual with the instructions for "throttle cable adjustment". I don't have my manual here with me, but I'm pretty sure that will do what you need.

In case you miss my post in your origional post for cable adjustment:
I read you're post about not getting the answers you wanted and now I'm reading this post. To answer your question here is a question: Do you have a factory service manual? I have cruise and changed the grips. I adjusted everything according to the manual and had no problems and didn't have to adjustthe cruise. The very first note about throttle cable adjustments in the factory manual is: Thecruise control cable only requires adjustment if the cruise module or cruise cable are removed or replaced, and then adjusted last using the CABLE LASH INITILIZATION routine on next page.
The only thing you do to the cruise during throttle/idle adjustment is pull the cruise module connector...not the cable.
So in conclusion, if you are going to flame everyone for not answering your question, make sure you read the manual and notes.
