In Delaware we are one of only three states that have strictly numeric plates. The less digits and the lower the number the more expensive and prestigious it is. It is a hot commodity here. I have a low four digit plate and could easily sell it for $2-3k. #MC123 is on the market for $20k. #MC62 for $9500. #121 for regular vehicles is on the market for $199k. In fact several years ago DuPont offered the owner of #24 $250k and he turned it down.

All bikes in NJ have 5 character plates. I don't see how FLHTK is any easier or difficult to read/remember than RB517 or the like.
