Hah, I was thinking the same thing. If your finger prints are all over inner faring, you're doing something wrong.

I have a Vivid Black Glide
its the standard flat black inner

i am not sure if i would want the Gloss Inner fairing
lots of sun reflection
the reflection off the Gauge rings is too much sometimes
maybe it would not be a big deal

No problem here. As mentioned easier to take care of.

No glare, no fingerprints, no problems.
Was harder to keep the standard inner of the 12' looking good...JMO.

Count me in with the folks wondering why there could be a fingerprint problem with the inner fairing?? Not sure why you would need to finger it, now the touch screen on the new Infotainment center, yea, that's made to be fingered. On the other hand, the handlebar controls will operate it as well. Finally, the answer is no, no fingerprint issues with glossy fairings and I've had several including a White Gold Pearl one.

There is a reason they are painted in a non reflective black.
Those shiny painted fairing look cool for show but in the real world they like to blind you on those sunny days. Not good for the safety factor.

LOL, do you really think moco put that much thought into this? More likely the question at moco when inner fairing paint came up was "how can we save more money"!!!!
