One of those events must have been you. Wow, small world.

Glad it worked out safely. That is a scary situation.
Not sure you saw me. Time between the traffic break and my tow was at least 30 minutes. I was on the 210 between Citrus and Sierra in Fontana. Hope you had a great time in Big Bear. I bet the weather was perfect.

Good question. Tire still had plenty of meat, otherwise I wouldn't have been covered. Cut in the tire indicated I must have run over something, though I didn't t see anything in the road.

Glad both of you are ok.

Great point on the stiff sidewalls!

Unfortunately they are not "rated" for 2 up riding, there are stickers on the rear fender warning against 2 up use, if you buy a "P" bike from the dealer and it has a 2 up seat and passenger pegs, the dealer is supposed to change the tires.

I had passengers on mine while it had the cop tires still on it no problemo, but the MoCo says No Go
I owned a 99 FLHTP prior this FLHTK. Awesome bike, but my wife wanted to start riding with me and I wasn't really interested in converting it to ride 2 up. I do miss that bike, though.

I have a 7 year ESP with Tire & Wheel that I purchased on 9/7/13. On the back side of page 1 of the contract under Section 3, Tire & Wheel Coverage, (top of page on right side) it states "YOU do not have to pay the DEDUCTIBLE under this coverage. Pickup, rental and travel lodging benefits apply to covered tire and wheel claims."

Looks like this condition changed on 8/13. Section 2 describes the tire and wheel policy now and states that they will pay for costs to repair or replace the originally equipment or like replacement tires and wheels LESS YOUR DEDUCTIBLE.

Still a good deal!

I'm glad you had a positive experience out of what could have been terrible or at the least very frustrating.
