I put the 19" contrast chrome on the front of mine, and would have done the rear at the same time, If, the tires were the same size but it was not. The rear will be done when the tire needs replacing. Wasn't gonna prematurely throw out a perfectly good tire. The Moco does know how to generate revenue. Kudo's to them.

I replaced my 17" front wheel with an 18" front wheel. I elected to not do the back and spend the money on other stuff for the bike. I'll tell you that when the bike is on the side stand or walking up to the bike from a distance you will see the rear. It really didn't bother me a whole lot but I decided to keep my eyes open for a used rear to match the front. Eventually I found one and made the purchase.

Here's the moral of my story. If you don't do both wheels now, eventually you will.

No worries on just doing the front. You can not see the rear at all. Besides, I had a Night Train that comes factory with mismatched rims, front with spokes, rear solid. There is a precedent.

I would do both if you can afford it. I recently changed my front wheel to a 21" and went ahead and did the rear rim as well. I'm one of those type of people would know it's not the same and it would bug me till no end till it's corrected.

I just have the front 21 inch wheel...Just like you I can afford to et the rear but I wanted to do some other stuff first, stretched bags just don't cover the rear enough! I am doing the rear wheel but I will keep the stock pulleys and rotor you can't see those for sure...Just do the rear because you will regret it if you don't.

Checkout austinslider's signature picture. His bike is mounted straight up and YOU can see the rear. The rear will be even more visible when on the side stand.

Picture his bike on the side stand and walking up to it from 10-20 feet away. I guess the only thing the OP may consider is that his bike is lowered.

would not bother me at all to do just the front,it's your bike do it like you want. you really can't see it going down the road and on my streetglide you damn near have to lay down to see it parked.

What kind of wheels have you been looking at?

If you don't mind them not matching than it is a great way to save a couple dollars on a new look to the bike. However, we sell tons of wheel sets that move out of here each day and I would say only getting the front wheel bugs enough people enough once it is on the bike that half of them call back and buy the matching rear wheel. Unfortunately when you do this you end up paying more than doing both at one time so if you think you may want it eventually or if it might bug you to much, go with both.
