Default Console/dash panel insert

I purchased the bar and shield insert for my RK classic. I installed it but can't tell if there is a protective plastic film. The instructions imply there is one, "Remove protective film". But I can't find an edge and I don't want to start picking at it. The insert is aluminum in appearence and looks good. Just wish I knew if there was a chrome insert lurking in there somewhere. Anybody? BTW, I asked two dealers and they don't know.

if its on there it will eventually start to peel or bubble if it does its usually very easy to remove.

Post a pic? Me? Thanks for thinking I might be that smart Ted. I don't think you could tell much from a pic anyway but thanks for the try.

Just leave it. You can usually tell if the plstic is on. If it is in fact on still you will notice it eventually and can peel it off easily.
