Heads up 2012FLHX jiffy stand bolt sheared
Be careful guys my 2012 FLHX is 14 months old and tonight I just stopped to lock up the gate at my work unit complex and bike fell over.
It was wet, I thought it had slipped off the stand as the driveway has a slight gradient
I picked it up, pretty proud of using the ride like a pro way of picking it up, worked like a charm.
However once I got home and looked at the broken stand bold I can see how under engineered it is.
You will need to replace this stand every 12 months or the same will happen to you.
There is no way that bolt even though it is high tensile is big enough to handle 800kilos of dead weight swinging on it and the fact this sucker sheared means there will be more just like this.
Heads up
Will post pics when I can.

I wouldn't be happy if my bike weighed 1700 pounds either! Probably just a bad bolt. I had a "grade 8" harley bolt shear off and lost the entire passenger floorboard assembly. There wasn't even any weight on it! I have to help the OL on and off the bike so they've all sat on the jiffy stand while she's getting on and off, haven't had any failures knock on wood....

Earlier this summer when I still had my '05 RK, I replaced the lock lug on my stand as it was rounded pretty good and let the bike roll IMO to far forward when on the stand and in neutral...
