fairing protector?????
This is my first touring bike so lets say I'm getting use to putting miles on a back for a change not just from one bar to another, lol.
So on my vette a have a stretchy kind of fairing protector,,,, I use it for keeping bugs off if I go on a long haul. Then just throw it in the washer from time to time.
Anyone using anything like this "OR" is there a wax that might help get the bugs to just kinda wipe off................... Im going thru a sh** load of detail spray,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thxs, paul

I've seen fairing "bras" but not my cup of tea.
But I'll give you a piece of advice that might come in handy while you decide what to to.
Do not let bug juice stay on your fairing probably not even over night in hot weather. The acid can burn into the clear coat and won't come out without marking the fairing and requiring buffing out the fairing.
Just throw a wet towel over it for a while and the bug juice loosens up and off it goes. use the HD bug juice wash. Keep it in your bike on trips. Be especially careful with a black bike. Every time it's touched, there will be swirl or worse.

Got A Tip
Some of the group with whom I ride gave me a tip when we headed out of BC into the fields of Idaho bugs this summer; they carry a spray can of Costco glass cleaner; comes in a 4-pack; cheap; spray on, wipe off... windshields, fairing, chrome, etc....
I usually just carry a wet micro-towel in a Ziploc in the lower fairing and hit the windshield/fairing/lights every gas stop... don't let the bug-guts remain any longer than you have to if you can help it...
