Default Wax Exhaust?

Is it O.K. to wax exhaust heat shields and mufflers? If not, any way to protect them?

hmmm....... I use spray cleaner/polisher in the can--doesn't matter the brand. Most times I buy it from the Suzuki shop. I'm a chrome fanatic and I've never used actual "wax"....just the spray stuff...my first bike, I showed alot and won lots of trophies...never polished/waxed the pipes or any of the chrome except with that spray stuff.

I use wenol on my chrome and it looks awesome and that includes the exhaust. No chrome doesn't need polish but it sure helps protect it from the crap that can get on it.
