hammz, you the man.. now the million dollar question.. since I'm replacing that insert with 980340, I'd like to go ahead and replace the fuel door with the matching 980320 but.... (gotta love that word) I just called pro-billet directly and they cannot tell me if the harley push button release will work on this fuel door.. i hate that stupid key

I know you want the rear pods.. is that because you're wanting to add rear communications to your ride. If so, then lets simply swap consoles?

black texture just like the insert on your FLHTK

 

Looks like I have another thing to add to the pile of things to be painted Vivid Black.

Sounds like you've got some other options going...
MoCo has offered a replacement push button for the fuel door for at least 8-10 years now, so even if the part has changed, there should be an option that will work?

 

yeah I'm gonna go with the fuel door and panel from pro-billet looks like.
