Ovals vs Rush

RE: Ovals vs Rush
I have the Rush 2.00" pipes. They might be considereda bitquiet depending on your personal tastes, but I definitely wouldn't say they sound tinny. They have a nice bark when accelerating up through the gears, a nice Harley thump when idling, and enough sound at cruising speed to let you know you are on a Harley. No problems hearing the radio at highway speeds with the 2.00".

Pick yourself up a copy of the new bagger mag by Hotbike. The debute issue has a test and write up on the top 10 slip ons. The break it down into 3 catagories, best HP, best tq and loudest. I think the Kerkers had the best hp, the supertraps had the best tq and the pythons were the loudest. Some of these pipes were close in different catagoreis, in case you want to sacrifice one thing for the other and not lose much.

I have the Rush 2.5 inch baffles and even tho I really like loud pipes ( V&H Short Shots on my Sportster) I think I will drop down a baffle size. They drone a bit when your just kinda putting along. I find myself running in a lower gear than I normally would to keep them from doing it. Also the decel pop and backfires are getting old, lol. I'm thinking true duals woul clean up the sound of these guys and make them more livable.
Oh as far as Highway goes they are great. Good rumble but no droning. Its slow speeds like 25 mph when your rolling through the neighborhood that drives me nuts. I like bark and rumble but not BUUZZZZZZZZZZZ! lol Actually I like it to sound like a rattlecan in a paint shaker that just caught on firewhen i get on it. BLALALALALBALALABLALAL

Rush and V+H were not tested in the Baggers mag. shootout,,,
supertrapps were 94.5 db,,stock was 93 Db....loudest was Python at 102 Db
Jamie at Fuelmoto said Rush 1.75 baffels were like the supertrapps,, and he sells them mostly to the touring guys
keep in mind ,, More law than ever this summer,, and it will only get worse
