Default Stock seat rk flhr, how do you like it?

Sorry, the title of the thread should read, Stock seat '13 RK FLHR, how do you like it? Have a '14 Limited, not happy with the seat, saw a suggestion in a thread that the Road King seat would make for a comfortable ride, saw a '13 on ebay for $100, so I bought it, haven't gotten it yet. Guess I should have asked before I bought it but, how do you like the seat?

Took the stock seat off my '13 Road King the week after I bought it. Been on the garage shelf ever since. I replaced it with a Mustang Solo with a matching removeable rear seat, Thats a seat. The stock seat on my '14 FLHTK is the closest I've come to a OEM seat thats fairly comfortable.

Seats are a strange component. What you like I may hate and visa-versa. I am absolutely happy with the stock seat on my 2012 RKC.

Seats are a personal thing but I can say Ive had oem seats since 1999 and wouldnt change them for the world. Everyone I know that went with aftermarket doesnt do anything but bitch of how bad the seat is. My son is going through the same issue now, sold his solo corbin which he said he liked but felt like a park bench to me, had his stock one redone and it looks like crap and he hates that one.
I can ride 600 miles a day on a stock touring seat and never ever had an issue, and thats with over 100k miles to date.
The grass isnt always greener!

I have a Mustang sport touring seat on my RK and it rocks!! The OEM was okay, but it was too wide for my liking. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I love the feel of my stock Road King seat. I can ride all day without discomfort and I cannot ask for more than that.

Sounds like they haven't gotten better with time; my stock '07 seat collects dust in the garage. I had an old Electra glide seat customized. Next one will probably be the zeppelin

Had my stock FLHTK seat "reworked" by MCC and was disappointed. Bought a hammock and my butt loves it! MCC did rework it again and it was better but just not for me so I am not knocking them at all. Very good customer service....

If you have the scratch, the Corbin seats are pretty awesome. They start off a little rigid, but order the heated version and get extra insulation to soften it up. Give them a few thousand miles and they somehow conform in shape to mega comfortable.

I think you will be happy with the '13 RK stock seat comfort-wise.

I liked mine just fine for comfort but found it set me a little bit high so got the HD Solo Touring Seat, which moved me lower and a little farther to the rear. In future, I will probably go back and forth between the two depending on the riding situation.

Good luck with yours!
