Put lowers on my '13 RK to facilitate stereo install, pretty sure they're not coming off.

I ended up selling my lowers and using the soft one piece lowers when I needed them. I think they are called airhawks?
I loved the look of hard lowers on my RG but like the wind more. Mine was definitely better without the lowers in the summer.
Unless its cold or raining, then the soft ones give me just as much protection and takes about 1 min to install or remove. JMO.

I did put a set of lowers on and They have NEVER been off!

They cool the motor, protect you from foul weather, keep your jeans from riding up your leg, hold extra gear, complete the finish look of your bike, (at least to me) and with all honesty mine are not hot during the summer with them on.
(Proper tune) if I do get a little warm, I put my boots on the highway pegs.

I have a set of airlite soft lowers with the pockets that I will be putting up for sale once I finish painting my new ebay lowers and get them installed. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

I have 2000 Road Glide, I want want to get a set of lower fairings, however all the ones I see on ebay state they will not fit 98-08 road glides. Does any one know of an aftermarket company that makes lowers specifically for the RGs. I'm told that they interfere with factory crash bar they interfere with the upper fairing. Any one with pics woul help also.

I think Fairing Factory makes them? Or ya could get late model fairing mounts and run EG/SG ones.

West Coast chiming in here. Its usually sunny and fair in Central Cal, but if it gets hot I just open the vents. All year round mine stay on, and it sure does help my jeans not getting soaked in dense fog.
