Yes thats what I was thinking...if get them when my SGS comes in the dealer will discount them but looks like I don't need to make my decision right away if surdyke sells em for 520

Bought a set of Ebay for 129.00, picked up the mounting kit for $40.00 and painted. The set works great, is secure and vent doors were secured with 3/16" rubber washers to keep them where I wanted them. Considering adding silver accent to match the 03 Anniversary color on the EGC. Otherwise was a good investment and absent the Harley emblem can't tell the difference from the $400-$500.00 set.

These are the ones I bought, $139.00 Shipped. I should have them Monday. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-HD-Da...item232f94c7c1

My total costs are as follows:

Lowers:........................................... ..............$139.00
Mounting Hardware (from HD Dealer)...................$ 31.00
Paint (PPG, Painting myself)...............................$ 85.00 - base coat only, I have clear coat left from when I painted my daughters fender. I will have enough to do my inner fairing as well + have some left for touch up

Total:............................................ .................$255.00 Total for color matched lowers, 1/2 the price of discount dealers, Plus I get to do my inner on this tab.

I really like my lowers. Mine have never been off. They don't seem to bother me in the summertime and they sure are nice in the rain and the wintertime. The vents always work themselves closed so I haven't opened them for 4 yrs.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they catch a lot of bugs and rocks. They've got dings everywhere and they're starting to look a little crappy but so is the rest of the bike. Maybe I'll get the whole thing painted someday.

I got tired of taking them off and putting them on so I just put speakers in mine so I would have to leave them on...

My 2009 didn't come stock with them.

I did put a set of lowers on and They have NEVER been off!

They cool the motor, protect you from foul weather, keep your jeans from riding up your leg, hold extra gear, complete the finish look of your bike, (at least to me) and with all honesty mine are not hot during the summer with them on.
(Proper tune) if I do get a little warm, I put my boots on the highway pegs.
