Big difference. Not much at idle, but they bark now when I get on it, vs a mild rumble with 2-1-2.

Not sure which true duals you're talking about but it was a big, unmistakable (and welcome) change for me.
Well I ran Rinehart on my last bike and they were LOUD. Haven't had an opportunity to ride with anyone with a 2-1-2 so I have nothing to compare with. I know my gutted stocker ain't cuttin the mustard tho.

I recommend you call MGS and talk to Chris. As far as I know, their pipes are same as stock so any slip-on will work. I have a pair of the slip-on's on my stock header.
And they will sell you just the header. They have 2 different styles as well.
I don't work for them, but I am a fan. Killer pipes.

I had V&H Ovals on my 07 Ultra for a while with the stock head pipe and then bought their dresser duals and it sounded so different you would of sworn they were different slip ons! It sounded that different.

Agreed, call MGS and get it straight from the horse's mouth. I understood their TD headers were too large to mate with conventional slip-ons. I do know that stock H-D muffler clamps would not fit on the TD set I got from them. Their site advertises slip-on 4" mufflers...maybe they're making two different mufflers (2" for their TD header, and 1.75" for the stock)?

+1 Love the sound, as well as the fit and finish - especially the chrome end caps. Really dresses things up IMO.
