Something people do not consider about the Truck Lights is how industrial strength they are.
They were developed for the Department of Defense to help military see better at night, and to help in spotting IED's off the side of the road.
They have a stronger than glass front lense, super long lasting and high quality LED's, a solid metal cast housing, (compared to the plastic of the stock housing), and metal heat sinks. They draw 1/3 the current as a stock light, and produce 3 times the illumination. The color temperature of the light provides much better definition of your forward and surrounding areas. These are really great lights, and the cost is reasonable.

Wow ! Great post, I found out with my stock HL on my flhx that night riding was out, with my bi-focal glasses, windshield and the head light glare were not good for me and I was missing great sunset rides around lake superior ! So some things I probably can't fix but the TL sounds like a good start.

Nice write up from your jeep forum sir.
I think what it always comes down to is bang for your buck.
Personally I refuse to pay harley 525.00 for a headlight.
At 185.00 I feel that I am getting a great upgrade and still can afford to put some gas in the bike and maybe eat lol!!!
