Headlight opinions

I upgraded my stock headlight on 07 Street Glide with brighter bulbs. They kept burning out at inopportune moments.
Then I installed Truck Light Phase 7. WOW!. So much brighter and far better definition.
If you just want daytime visibility stay with the stock bulbs, but if you want better vision at night, any of the LED units should make you very happy.
They also do not tend to burn out. Should outlast your bike.
To make the install look better, consider buying a Frenched Bezel at the same time. Really dresses up the bike nicely.

If you want to see and be seen better - go with LED - soooo much better than halogen of any style...

What I will add to this and has nothing to do with TL but HD lights themselves. I bought, installed, adjusted then traveled to the Hill Country 2 days later the original version of the Daymaker. I couldn't stand it! The narrow beam it (and the spots) projected was enough to shy me away from it. Sold them and went back to my silverstar ultra bulbs in everything.
Leaning into a curve at 50+ MPH at night in the Hill Coutry where axis deer are lurking around every bend waiting for you so they can run out in front of you and the beam of your lamps projecting into the ditch on one side and the sky on the other with no visibility around the curves is not a good thing. So like I said I went back to the SU setup.
Then HD had to go and release these new Daymaker LEDs and I bit again. Headlamp and spots again. This time, I am MUCH more pleased with the beam of light that is radiated from the front of my bike at night. Nowhere near as narrow as the originals and provides for ample lighting in curves now.

buy the Cibie European code halogen light and Osram Rallye 70/65w + bulb from Daniel Stern Lighting - he's the #1 authority on lighting ( do a google search and look at other posts here if you have any doubt). His website provides a lot of info ..... > http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html
This is one of the brightest headlights you can get that won't annoy oncoming traffic due to the European reflector.

Plus 1 for the "lower tech" option. Her is another option for purchasing.
Headlamp and bulbs, great seller. Buy two bulbs to have a spare.
Cibie headlamp and Osram Ralley 70/65 bulb, well worth the cost, much less than other options.

I have narrowed down my choice to either the Trucklite or possibly just a brighter replacement bulb.
The TL is around 200 on ebay
My buddy just replaced his headlight bulb with some aftermarket (xenon maybe) and he said that he was happy with it.
Any input?
I was ready to spend the dough on the TL but if I can get away cheaper I am for that as well...
