There hasn't been a brake recall on my bike.

There has been one recall and one service bulletin so far with a second bulletin coming soon.

1) Clutch - recall for wrong part installed on an unknown number of bikes.
2) Filler neck - On all water cooled bikes. Material filler neck was made of deformed under high temps.

3) My dealer tells me there will be a second bulletin for the thermostat housing leaks that some have experienced.

Yes the trikes had some steering issue recall as well.

I wouldn't let these issues deter you from buying a 2014 if you are ready to buy now. The 2015's could just as likely have similar issues since none of these have been design issues but rather production problems which can crop up at any time. That is why you have a warranty.

I would not hesitate to buy a 2014 Street Glide. Knowing what I know and what I've experienced, I would wait a bit on any liquid cooled bike.

Thank you for the response... yeah, I should be ready in a few months to buy. I have been waiting for a touring model upgrade and when I saw the 2014- I knew it was time. I will keep my eye on the forums and make a decision.

It was discussed at length on this forum when it came out a couple of weeks ago.

Just register your bike on Harley's website...when you do that, you can see if there any recalls on your bike. My 14' FLHXS was built on 11/13, the site said there is no open or closed recalls on my bike.

Default clutch issue after recall

i was wondering if any one has experienced clutch failure after the recall was fixed? i just bought a 2014 street glide in the beginning of December after putting about 920 miles on it my clutch failed. when i purchased the bike the dealer ensured me the recall had already been completed.

just wondering if this was a fluke or if there is more i need to look into.

thank in advance

How did it fail?

No issues with mine before or after the recall. Mine had the correct basket (as I hear almost all did).
