All the owners of previous models are justifying their decision to not purchase a new bike due to a clutch problem that will take the dealer 1 hour to fix? Glad all of you didn't get any if these junk 2014 bikes like the rest of us...P.S. 450 miles on mine with no trouble....except for that loose floorboard bolt....probably due to being a 2014?

So, I'm wondering...
I'm picking up a 2014 FLHTCU tomorrow. It's obviously built between May 3, 2013, and Oct. 14, 2013 which is the dates on official HD website.
I'm going to ASSUME that they wouldn't sell this bike unless they've already fixed it. Tomorrow I will ask them lol.

In the interest of the safety of our mutual customers and as required by law, you may sell but NOT DELIVER any affected motorcycles.
That sucks for you I'm sure. I know I'd be really disappointed.

Seriously, you gotta know the whole Forum will be plugged up with crap about recalls, just like it's been plugged up with all the rest of the 2014 crapola. How many threads do there need to be on coolant-puking and fairing vents? Then there are those who think they need to provide balance by telling everyone how great their 2014 bike is.
With all of that said, the beauty of this is that the freedoms of speech and choice give people the right to start and add to threads about this stuff, and others the right to choose to not read them. What a country, eh??

High Temp of 48, Low of 26,.... I don't mind making my selling dealer pick up my bike from over 150 miles away for a small warranty repair... If this was May, It would be different!
2600 trouble free miles in two months this summer with the 2014, after 5400 miles on my 2012, I can live without the bike for a week.... maybe.
This is undeniably the quietest (mechanically), smoothest running, hardest pulling, ride on rails feeling HD that I have ever had. The GPS issues are undeniably minor and annoying to only the most pecksniffiant of people, the brake pedal angle is a minor annoyance, the one touch tour and saddle bags are fantastic, the improved fairing makes 450+ mile days a true breeze, the cooling system works as advertised and in 100+ degree days there is never a knock, ping or stumble, the brakes are the best I have ever had on a big bike, Goldwing included, the seat is almost perfect.... no major complaints and the clutch isn't one either.
I like the bleeding edge of Harleys new 1990's technology!
