Yeah it did.
The gas tank had to be raised, something about if it was in a head on collision it might catch on fire.
Then there was the rear brake cylinder switch.

I still rode it though and did not panic about taking it into the dealer.

I did not think it was a life or death highest priority/govt shutdown situation.

MOCO told me shipped out on Monday or Tuesday. Not sure if they take a couple days to arrive.

A friend of mine was allowed to pick up his bike last night and the dealer told him it was ok to take it to Daytona from Tampa. Not sure why all the dealers cant get on the same page with this.

Dealer told me parts will ship on the 21st and it will take a couple days to get them. There is also another clutch issue they are going to address at the same time think that one is only on the trikes not sure.

The trickle down effect must be a nightmare. Used to fantasize about being a Harley mechanic. But I bet the next month or 2 is really gonna suck.
My dealer only has a couple of dozen bikes on the list. I'm hopeful it will be a quick fix for me when the kits arrive.

I've had more than my fair share of issues with my 2010 but never had to fight Harley to buy it back like some 2014 owners have.

(No, don't have a 2014 but don't think I'm breaking any state or federal laws by posting. Oh oh, here comes the forum police...)
I guess some people just take it and rollover in life.....I'm sorry for them... companies with poor customer service can stay in business because of them.

In your opinion...it wasn't...but if you remember from back then, there were people jumping up and down about how bad the 09's were ...deathtraps ..and how glad they were with their bike...

Just making a general statement. I don't understand so called Harley loyalists. Why all the bashing of the 2014's.

My 2014 has a recall. Big deal.... It is being taken care of before any harm was caused to the bike or myself. MOCO acted in a fast and efficient manor.

When I bought my 2009 many said to wait since that was the first years for the new frame and larger tire. It was an awesome bike with only a few minor issues.

I believe the 2014 is also an awesome bike. I am proud and fortunate to own one. I only hope that if I can afford another new model some day that someone will enjoy my hand me downs!

YES, In my opinion, what isn't, or yours for that matter?

I do not recall people jumping up and down about how bad their 09's were and that they were deathtraps.

Please reference.

Not out to get into a pissin' match or start an argument w/you.
