DON'T CLICK ON THOSE LINKS. It's like I'm talking to my sister's kids.

The tech said there is a chance they pop it open and the parts in the bike are not the part number that was recalled. So im riding!

How it is different is now you know about the recall. In effect you are signing a quit claim waiver. Just so you know.
I did it today for 16 miles. Made it safe...whew!
Now it's in their court.

To top it off, this recall went out on twitter before the dealers were notified.

As far as their attempt at water cooling, another Band-Aid approach embarrassment, the only rationale I can come up with is that the epa told them a certain %age of bikes must be water cooled. It accomplishes nothing else.

This is true if something happens it's on me at this point but that doesn't change if something is going to happen or not. The chance of something bad happening has went down because I'm now aware of the problem and I'm on the look out. It's just so damn hard to set and look at a bike that's 4 days old after being told you can't ride it! I'm not saying it's the right thing to do but I'm sure I'll sneak it out this weekend.

If they are going to fix the problem at no cost, why not just drop it off?. Even if it does not happen now, what if the problem appears down the line and you are stuck in the middle of nowhere?

Dropped mine off today. It sucks not having the bike but I would rather have the piece of mind knowing that a potential problem is being fixed.

Dropped my SG off today. They told me it would be two weeks. At first they were balking at a loaner. I brought up the fact I spent 20000+ on a bike and a loaner was only fair. It seemed to work

I don't want no stinking loaner, I want my bike fixed and back in my garage asap.

I've got a 2014 SG. I bought it at a dealer that is 2 hours away from my house. Will I be able to call a closer dealer to do the recall work or don't have to go to where I purchased it? I'm a little worries My local Cedar Rapids, IA dealer won't give me the time of day bc I didn't buy it there. Any advice?
