I think the issue here is the clutch master cylinder supplier must have had an issue ramping up production from a couple thousand units/yr to the huge quantity of parts needed to meet 2014 production roll out. Took some short cuts that affected QC in order to make production/delivery quotas? Result? Lots of field failures.
Mine went "south" yesterday. Was able to ride it to my dealer. They overnighted replacement part. Part replaced, system bled & back to me today. Haven't seen the actual recall/repair bulletin, but hoping the repair made by my dealer today complies with action required for the recall. Will find out tomorrow...

Mine was all at once. It was like when pulled in all the way, it was engaged like it was 1/4 of the way engaged. It was hard to stop it at a red light and had to use what clutch I had and speed shift to shift it till I got it to the dealer (I wasnt far). There is really no way to ride it when it does go.
I hope this makes sense...

My new SGS was due in yesterday and the dealer called and said 1 week delay at the factory due to clutch issues they are fixing on all bikes that came off the line but have not shipped that really sucks since I'm going in for knee surgery next Tuesday so my bike will arrive and I can't even take it for a ride

South far enough to cause me to change riding plans & head directly to my dealer. No lever free play before engagement, no lever resistant first 2/3 of lever pull. Was fine when we stopped. Was bad when I fired back up. No warning symptoms, but was able to hold it with brakes at traffic lights.
