..DUH!..no sh*t...not the point though..the question is whether 14's will suffer excessive depreciation due to all these glitches..my bike will never be sold...so it matters not what it's worth now, or then...I may buy a newer one,(15 Road Glide might be the one), but sure as hell not a 14....lookin like a baaaaaad year...sorry to say...

Sorry to climb on Snoop... and I recognize everyone needs to gain knowledge/experience... but I'm pretty amused you couldn't tell if you had a cable-actuated or hydraulic clutch after looking at your bike (let alone knowing the difference prior to buying the bike).

Just sayin'...

Ah yes. First they came and took all of our guns, next they are coming to take down the HD Forums.

Because of a voluntary recall fix on some of the models, and a few leaking coolant systems that most of the bikes do not even have?

..well, certainly not on the bikes WITHOUT the cooling and 6.5, and wet clutch-perch,...but on the ones affected...it may be an issue down the road when people go to sell...that's all I was saying...but then you get "di*k-heads' who for some reason have to take it personally when anyone questions the quality of the 2014 model year...lots of glitches right at the beginning of a roll out makes for comments...that's life...

Yeah, well that's Harley almost every year on a few models it seems. But really, I don't think many people three to five years from now will remember a voluntary recall and a one hour fix. If it has been corrected, and is working, then likely people only like us will have any recollection.

I have had a recall on three of my last four cars as well. I am not too worried about them. I think we here in the forum world are more sensitive to the memory of it then perhaps any "casual" shopper in the future.

Of course the cooling system is a whole other issue, but I am really not sure how wide spread it is yet.

Default 2014 Recall Threads

Please stop creating them. All the threads in the touring section that have anything to do with the recall(s) have been merged into a single thread and I'll continue to do the same with new threads.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ll-thread.html

We don't need 3000 threads telling us the same thing and clogging up the touring section
