Its mostly the very first batch of 14s that came off the assembly line that will need this fix.
This is good to hear!! Thanks for posting! You should post this on the larger thread if you already haven't.

I don't think that the recall was a big deal. The DO NOT RIDE statement was! - for that matter still is!

read some of the thread/reply's on not trading an older HD for a 2014. Wouldn't trade my 2014 sgs for any older models. maybe a shovel! Its soooo pretty. But that's just me.

My bike was built last month. Wondering if it will pass the "inspection"??? or if it will need parts.

Waiting for the dealer to open this morning.

Interesting, so how does the dealer professing these 2014 models have been field tested for the last 5 years plan into the mix? Too funny.

Uh...no. Unless you HAVE a bike that came equipped with a hydraulic clutch, this doesn't effect you in any way.

As far as hanging out at the dealer, who says you cant go there just to hangout.
I go to mine at least once a week, have a cup of coffee and visit with red the front counter girl....

If "Its mostly the very first batch of 14s that came off the assembly line that will need this fix" then why did HD recall 29,000 bikes. And issue a "DO NOT RIDE" warning to all of them?

It IS a big deal and will cost HD millions just in repairs. Not to mention lost revenue. Dealers are being asked to pick up EVERY bike. I live 50 miles from the nearest one and lots of folks live 100's of miles.

Not a big deal?? Tell that to the guy trying to stop his bike with no clutch.

And FWIW-I called my dealer this morning and they aren't doing anything but taking names until they get parts.
