Default Upgrading 14 Street Glide Front Suspension/Forks

I'm going to put a Black front end on my 14 Street Glide Special. While the bike is torn apart do you think it's worth it to upgrade to the Premium Single Cartridge front suspension? What if anything would I gain from the stock 14 suspension? Also would you go standard height or the lowered version
Thanks!

I'm doing anything until Progressive gets their collective azz in gear and develops a set of monotubes for the 49mm fork. Minus 1" thank you.

I upgraded my '14 Limited to the HD premium suspension parts, front & rear. The front now simply glides over expansion joints that the stock front end transferred jolts to me. Granted, I have the taller suspension than the SG, but I'm pleased with the improvement to the front. Still sorting out settings for the rear shocks...

That's great to hear. I ordered the cartridge inserts for my new FLHXS and the standard length rear premium shocks (p/n 54000008). Should have the same suspension as you now (I went with the chrome fork sliders).

Default Other Option

I will have my 30mm cartridge kit with externally adjustable compression, rebound, & spring pre-load. There is absolutely no comparison between any other FL front fork suspension product available. I have been doing these since 2006 on 49mm Dyna's. This is not a $300 option and not meant to serve those who would be satisfied with all of the other suspension products available. This for real suspension just like the shocks I developed/sell.

I will be at Daytona International Speedway # 14 tomorrow setting up Tuesday with them and the conversion from 1986~2013 FL's to 49mm forks. All of my products are racetrack proven and none of the other products available are anywhere near the performance & quality to compete at the big show. Racing suspension is not measured in MPH but how fast it reacts to changing surface conditions. Faster reaction time means that the tire will be in contact with the surface and it can only be done by by isolating the road from the frame.

Nothing to do with this thread but I just had to say your bike is SWEET! "Only proper color for a motorcycle is black"
