OK OK OK, so I went and looked
Had some time to kill yesterday and found myself at a local harley dealer. They had a street glide in some sort of gunmetal blue with black accents. It sort of spoke to me. Then I spoke to the sales person, and was offered a test ride. Nope, not gonna do it. It was nice. Not nice enough to let my old bike go though. 25k$ and would still need a tour pack. But yes, it was a sweet looking ride.....

I went, I looked, I was not impressed by any of the models. New air cleaner looks like a basketball now instead of football. Did not like the dash layout at all. Thanks but I will keep my old technology 2012 SG. I am a big believer in if it aint broke, don't fix it.
However, I would take 21k for my 2012. I would be looking for a 60s electraglide and an 05-10 ultra.

I also have looked a the 2014's (Several Times) and I like many of the changes to the new bikes. The problem is I,m a thinker and I do not impulse buy. I think about how much money it will take to get a new bike as comfortable as my current 2009 Road King plus the price of a new bike.
My King is like riding down the road in a Lazy Boy. Everything is where it needs to be. I can stay in the saddle for a full tank of gas with very little discomfort. About the only flaw I have is the wife is not as comfortable as I am. The Corbin Solo is doing it for me but the P-Pad is not cutting it for her. We will be looking at a Corbin Touring seat at the Galveston Lone Star Rally.
The only point of envy I have with the new bikes is the 103 motor verses my 96. But my winter project may be a Fuel Moto 107 kit.
About the only other item I hate about my bike is the 28 spoke wheels. I think there ugly and a pain in the a$$ to clean. I new set of Agitators could be in my future.
So, all in all the few things that my bike lacks can be easily resoled with a little money and time and at no where near the cost of a new bike and what I would have to do to it.
There may be one fly in the ointment. The re-release of the Road Glide, That bike may trump my decision to stay where I'm At.
