An I don't know about your household, but mine can get pretty full of kids, spouses of kids, grand-kids etc. over the holidays. Even if its too cold to ride; I can go to my shop away from all the noise etc by shining or tightening, and in general peddle with my bike. An sure people will come out to see what I'm doing, ask stupid questions, but at least for that time its smaller groups.

An I just plain hate having things to do hanging over my head. If I waited I'd just set around and worry about everything that could go wrong. An believe me I have an active imagination when it comes to that sort of thing! "The Taliban could blow up the the dealership while my bike is there". I'm not quite that bad yet! However, I'm only fifty I still have time! :-)

Good luck! I don't think there is a wrong answer here.
yep , gets my vote

If $$$$$ is not an object for you which it does not sound like it is, then get it and it'll be ready when you are to ride. Just keep it on a battery tender covered up, and resist the urge to ride it on the salt laden winter streets.

There will be SGS's on showroom floors once the frenzy of the new model is over. Chances are you will find one on the floor at a nearby store or your dealer can locate you one. I would do it in February once the stock has built up and they are ready to move some units. Also, like others have said, use the time between now and when you purchase to carefully pick out your accessories.

Now is the time, 2014 are going at a good clip now with all the improvements the MoCo
has done. Spring time some colors may be limited, and don't forget that every mid year
a few more bikes are added to the line up. That new Road Glide may come back into the
line up, or a revamped Road King Classic could show up limiting production of other bikes.
